Weekend stuff

Yesterday DH and I went to the Aerospace Exhibition 2006 at Changi Exhibition Centre. The moment I stepped there I was like, "why did I ever agreed to come here??" I was impressed with the F16 fighter plane but its two in the afternoon and it was freaking hot! I didn't enjoy it that much. Let's just say that if its not at the beach, I don't fancy being under the sun...I could probably take a couple of minutes but thats it. Well the thing is DH really wanted to be there so I went along. I managed to take pictures of him in front of some planes (I think it was an F18) with my umbrella on my left hand and camera on the right. Good thing other exhibitions were inside an airconditioned area so we managed to look around.

Here's the layouts I finished this weekend...

Its our Second Month-sary

Its been two months since we got married (which reminds me I have to finish choosing pictures for our wedding album). We just went to Pastamania for dinner and went home straight away. I feel a bit tired to do anything else.

I've just started reading Shopaholic Ties The Knot, and Luke proposed to Becky (sans the title isn't it) but still it was sooo romantic! Can't wait to read the rest of the book.

Here's the layouts I finished these past few days...

Its Positive Its Positive!

Dh and I went to see a doctor after work. I just couldn't wait for March 6 (which was the appointment scheduled with another doctor, thats the earliest they could give me) so we decided to see another one. We know the first trimester is crucial to a baby's development so two more weeks without proper vitamins and checkup is just too long for us. Guess what I'M REALLY PREGNANT! Since I've already taken home pregnancy tests (yup tests because I tested 3 times) I had an ultrasound instead. When I saw the screen and when I was told that the small round thing in my uterus is actually the baby...I couldn't contain my joy. I can't explain exactly how I felt but it was great. There's a little person growing inside me! I'm around four weeks pregnant now. I was given the medicine to take and we'll come back for another checkup in two weeks time. Eventhough there's pretty nothing to see yet the good news we got from this scan is that its an intrauterine pregnancy which means the baby is growing where he/she should be. No worries about ectopic pregnancy (geez I hope I spelled that correctly, I'm not very good with medical terms).

Here's the first photo of our little one (you might not clearly see anything yet...but its there somewhere...lol)...

Anita is having a sale! Her awesome items are 25% off. What are you waiting for go to A Cherry On Top now!

One thing more before I go to bed...

Nothing much but just another layout before I go to bed...

Credits: Hip Cat Kit by Jan Cowley at TDC.

This is one of our recent photos. DH and I went to Esplanade (background) and had dinner. After that we went for a walk and took some photos. I'm glad we did!
Okay so I have to go to bed now...it would be really a big adjustment for me, sleeping earlier than usual I mean. Oh well...

Weekend

The weekend it almost over (sigh). I just wish I could spend more time here at home.
Here's the layouts I've finished this weekend...

Another Wedding Layout! Note to self: I better start making 2-page wedding layouts soon.

True Love Kit by Heather Ann Melzer available at The Shabby Shoppe

I better start choosing photos for our wedding album. Its been like a million years since the wedding (actually its been almost two months) and I haven't given the Studio the photos. Oh the the wedding video too. Gosh I should really stop procrastinating!

On my scrapping life...
I was recently chosen to be one of the new member of another great designer's Creative Team. Andrea Victoria emailed me the good news a few days ago. I'm so excited to be a part of AV Designs! Yay!

Baby baby

I'm sooo excited! Well nothing is official yet of course until I see a doctor (I've scheduled an appointment already but the earliest they gave me was on March 6, I'll try to call again and arrange for an earlier date), but still...the test is like 99% accurate right?! So I'm hoping I won't fall on that 1% grid.

DH has been really supportive and helpful to me. He searched the internet for information on things I need. Food I should eat/avoid among other things.

I have to give up something I love most...
Coffee. I'm soo addicted to coffee and this is going to be hard for me. So far I haven't had a single cup for four days now. It's difficult to cope but I WILL do this because its going to be for someone really important.

Oh life won't be the same again...I'm sooo hoping for the best.

V-Day

I told my husband not to send me flowers or anything at the office today. We didn't went out for dinner at a fancy restaurant...we didn't do all those v-day stuff that couples usually do. Not this year. Well have a late celebration on Saturday though :) we'll both get our presents then :) :) We did everything a bit different this year I guess. Instead of going out we ordered pizza and stayed at home. We had fun too...and I had time to scrap :) I'm soo looking forward to getting my present on Saturday...now what do I want????

Here's the layout I created for Valentine's Day...

Another layout...yes I'm addicted

I managed to finish one layout before going to bed...yeah you can say I'm hooked. Anyway these photos were taken by DH at the airport while we were waiting for our flight to Bangkok. My addiction with coffee started pretty much when I started working. So thats about three years ago. Ice blended coffee is my favorite. Starbucks, Seattle's Best, Coffee Bean...it doesn't really matter as long as they have iced coffee.

Here's the layout...

Now I'm really off to bed...

LO Crazy and great news!

I change my banner for a more valentine look. I'll be keeping it the whole month though...lol. I wonder waht to give DH. Maybe another lens? He seem to have developed a fascination for these things lately.

Remember the good news I was talking about a few days ago? Well now I can say it. I've been chosen to be part of Christy Lyle's Creative Team! Isn't it great?! You can view her announcement here.I've been playing around with her kits and finished 5 layouts so far. Here it is...

I got some layouts done today.

I'm very happy with this one. This is probably one of my favorite wedding portraits. Michelle Coleman's Lighter Shades of Pale kit from Scrapartist is so perfect for this. I really like the brushes too. I also found a nice quote to match...happiness.

Saturdays make me happy

I love Saturdays because I can sleep late and do the things I want (read: digiscrap). I think its my most favorite day of the week :) This afternoon DH and I went to Takashimaya to get the video cam for Sony Gallery. These was something wrong with the LCD screen I think. Well we didn't pay for anything so I guess the folks at Sony just cleaned something and didn't change any parts at all. DH has suddenly been interested with lenses, he bought a wide angle conversion lens for the video cam as well. For me as long as he's happy its okay. At least I don't have to feel guilty if I go shopping next week :)

Oh I really have to sit down and choose photos for our wedding album. Its been almost two months! I hope to do this tomorrow, but with over 1,500 photos to look at...its not gonna be easy.

On a completely different topic, I was bored the other day so I sent a text message to the only person in the world who I know will reply to,"Hi. I'm bored...what's up?" my friend Ashley. He and I were classmates back in highschool. He lives in California now with his family but we saw each other last year when we both went to Manila for vacation. He asked me how married life is working out for me among other things. Guess what?! he's planning on proposing to his girlfriend! I'm so happy for him. He's such a nice guy and a sweet person...that girl is trully lucky to have him.

09 February 2006

Mundane

I went to the mall after work today to buy my sister in law a present for her birthday next week. I managed to get her something right away and snag myself a nice bag I can use for work (I sooo love this bag).Oh my a lot of boutiques are having their "end of season sale!" A shopaholic loves sale! I had to get out of there before its too late...literally (I had to go home early). I'll be back for the sale on Saturday to shop! Oh and I went to the local scrapbooking store to check if they have the latest magazines\books but to my dismay their shelves are almost empty.

If you noticed I have a banner already (scroll up). I used Amy Jo kit by SweetMindy for that.

I finished the layouts I was talking about last night. But I won't post it yet, perhaps on Sunday.

I've been wanting to buy a good book to read for the longest time...I haven't decided which one yet...decisions decisions...

Okay so I'm blabbing now...time to end this post

P.S.
I started uploading blog links, I'm not done yet though...

08 February 2006

Today...

Nothing much happened today...oh wait...I actually received some good news! But I can't tell anyone what it is yet :)

I didn't have any layout to share...I have two unfinished layouts though. I feel like there's something missing so I will get back on that tomorrow. For now I'm off to bed...

Highlights of Our Trip

I realized I haven't posted anything about our trip yet so I'm doing it now, a week late.

At the airport
We're always early at the airport. This trip was no exception. We arrived aroung two and a half hours before our flight. I quickly searched for our guide as he has our tickets. After he handed us the tickets we proceeded to check-in right away. Since it was still early to stopped by this Mediterranean Restaurant for a light dinner. Wow their pizza was great. After that we went to Immigration, then off to Coffee Bean to have our coffee...and cake for me. It was sinful!

Our flight
It was Scandinavian SK973 that brought us from Singapore to Bangkok. I was disappointed a bit that we were on the aisle seats. Anyway there was an annoying family beside us. Three to five minutes prior to our landing this family was snapping away pictures as if they weren't on the plane. The lights were off so you can imagine how blinding the camera flash were. Anyway it was only a two hour or so flight so I was fine with it.

Day 1
Rise and shine!

Sunday Blues

Its Sunday, that means tomorrow I have to get my butt to work. Who want to go to work after one week of vacation?! Oh well...

DH and I went to Esplanade this afternoon. He wanted to test the new lens that he bought :) After watching a movie we went there and had dinner at Ichiban Boshi, we love japanese food! For me salmon sashimi is the best...for him he likes tempura. After that on with the picture taking...lol.

Here's one of the pics

Where did my last post go???

Last night I can't upload photos this morning I was able to access my blog...but I couldn't find my post last night. Arrgh! Now I'm trying to remember all the things I said on that post!

Yesterday was the first birthday of Cleina, the party was great. The decorations were beautiful...the food was great...the cake was pretty.

I managed to take some pics...

This is the guestbook I'm talking about, isn't it pretty?

The pretty and yummy cake

All these were taken using our T1 camera. I don't want to part with it just yet. Though our new H1 take better pictures, its not exactly something I could fit in my purse. Speaking of camera, DH bought the wide angle conversion lens and the polarizing filter yesterday. He's very excited about it, can't wait to use it.
